Does anyone know of breeders or dealers that sell Egyptian Sand Boas (E. colubrinus colubrinus)?

All I can find for sale are Kenyan Sand Boas (E. colubrinus loveridgei).

I have nothing against the kenyans its just I'd like to get an egyptian for sentimental reason.

Though I have a feeling I'll end up with a kenyan :?

Ive wondered about those too, and finally found this article. Dont know how true it is...
http://www.kingsnake.com/sandboa/colubrin.html

This species has traditionally been treated as two subspecies, the Egyptian (E. c. colubrinus) and the Kenyan (E. c. loveridgei). These two subspecies were differentiated on the amount of brown/black spotting on the sides of the snake, but in the pet trade, the distinguishing characteristic was inferred to be the background color (orange in Kenyans, yellow in Egyptians).

However, the taxonomic distinction between the "Egyptian" and "Kenyan" Sand Boas is unwarranted. Tokar (1996) examined the patterns of geographic variation seen in this species across its range and concluded that there were no consistent differences that could be used to distinguish the subspecies colubrinus and loveridgei.

If your search fails I have a batch of baby kenyans, Some orange, Some Yellow, that are for sale ;) http://www.freewebs.com/northwesternexotics/available.htm

I don't know the name of the breeder, but I got my Kenyan Sand Boa at the KC Reptile Show and she had an Egyptian Sand Boa for sale (That's probably not much help though since I can't remember the name of the breeder).

I had come across the same article in my search and it could be they're just two different color morphs, but like you said how true it is no ones knows. I'll probably keep checking out the local area if I could fid something (partly because I like the instant gratification :p and also its been an extremely hot summer here in NE and I am worried about having anything shipped in this heat). If I don't find anything by the time cool down a bit, I probably grab one of those males you have.
