I posted a pic in the pictures forum about my P.chordatus building a strange web. She started a cup type web 2 days ago, and this morning she is still making it, very slowly, with great care. Now I cant help thinking that she is making a sac. Is it normal for them to spend days building it?

Salmon Pink laying sac

Her she is laying a sac that took a little over 24 hours total start to finish. Good luck. dave

I believe your girl is making a sac, OR a new home (which I doubt) That's normally the only time they will spend alot of time preparing a web. When they're preparing a molting mat, it doesnt normally that that long, and it's pretty thin. Just enough to protect their body.
