I've never bred a Tarantula egg sac but I don't think it is necessary, just let them eat them.

I know in nature a multitude of animal species will lay extra eggs, sometimes infertile, as food for the developing offspring.

I haven't seen a study that backs this up in T's, but I am assuming it is the same.

I have bred pokies numerous times and have only seen this in one or two isolated instances....but I certainly have heard of it happening more over the years...especially with ornata..

They definitely do it, but I look at it as letting the stronger ones survive. I think you'd lose even more by bursting by separating ewl than you would to predation

Survival of the fittest.
But the word 'fittest' is such a narrow minded humanesque way of thinking. Fastest, fiercest... and so on. Mom nature has dozens, more like hundreds of ways of trying to maintain a balance and species survival. Humans need to expand their thinking, realize how little we know and how much we still have to learn.

Here we sit at an apex proudly proclaiming knowledge, when what we see around us is millions upon millions of years of trial and error experimentation and adaptation.
