Hi :D

So I currently have a six-spotted fishing spider in my care with an egg sac. I've had it for a couple weeks, I don't intend to keep it, and definitely are about to raise slings lol. Will return it home soon.

Anyway it has a large egg sac it carries, but what I'm curious about is she tends to sit over her watering dish with it, the sac partially submerged. I'm wondering if this will hurt the babies? I know it's technically water proof but my logic screams at this. Is this normal behavior?

Probably normal, it's a fishing spider, it would carry it's sack on the water if it were hungry i would think. Also, I've heard they will not live if the sacs are taken, not sure if that's true but maybe, they aren't very long lived spiders anyhow, and only have one purpose once they have eggs.
