Eco Earth and corn snake?

So what do you think about using Eco Earth as a subsrtait for a 8 week old corn snake. I have Aspen in there right now but I also have 2 extra bricks of Eco Earth. Maybe a mix of both would look good. I would like to have a more natural look vs. just the Aspen. If Aspen is just flat out better then I'll continue to use that. I have a huge bag of the Aspen right now so its not a matter of "can I use Eco Earth until I get more Aspen".

I'd stick with aspen for a hatchling. Once the snake is bigger, eco earth would be ok.

i use eco earth 4 all my corn snakes works well dry's a little fast but looks naturel and easy to clean

Waldo, how old do you think would be old enough to switch?
Jasen&crystal, how moist should it be? slightly damp? I figured that it should be pretty dry but this is my first snake so I'm still new.
