Hi 
I have a female Dumeril boa about 5 feet long and she's normally a sweety, but one day this happened:
I moved her from her old cage, big tuppaware-under-the-bed-box, that was only a temporary habitant for her.
I got her a real nice cage from Cages by Design, ( that one was painful in the wallet )and she started to do fine there.
Maybe little on the dry side for her, but it went fine and she's done 2 succesfull sheddings in there and this day I was going to feed her ( I should say she has a very "violent" feeding behavior),
but this day she just attacked the rat, so after awhile the thawed rat looked like it had gone through a meat grinder, so out the rat went from her feeding cage ( I feed her in an another cage) and next thing without notice it, I had my hand just a little to close to her and WHAAAM, there in my left little finger I now had blood coming out and dripping all over and heck it was painful, I mean it felt like when the cat get in a bad mood and bites
Really nice teeth marks above and below on the finger.
My knuckle was sore for about 3 days.
Well, then when she's out she's doesn't do anything, one can handle her just fine, but within her cages she goes in bad mood.
