Dubias and plants?

Dubias are notorious for burrowing in tanks before the predator gets them. Now I'm wondering, do they eat roots of live plants? Because I think that's what happened to me a couple of times. No proof, but can anyone confirm or deny this?

Well, I "experimented" with a small colony of Blaptica dubia with plants and substrate, and the roaches eat the plants, but they cannot eat all kind of plants.

Why do you want to put plants in the Blaptica dubia colony?

Good luck!:)

I don't. I saw a dubia burrow under a plant in my GBB's tank, and now it's dying quite rapidly =/
