Yesterday I fed my dubias a peeled slice of banana. Even the good kind, with organic labels and all that stuff. Today I found one juvenile female dead near where the food was in the enclosure. I'm pretty worried now that pesticides have something to do with it.
I didn't wash the peeled banana (are you supposed to do that?) and as I said, it was an organic banana (in Germany that means = no use of chemical pesticides). That dead roach may also have already been dead when I put the banana in, but I don`t remember.
Are there any precautions I should take? Or is it even possible that only one roach would die from nibbling on the banana? Wouldn`t pesticides surely wipe out the whole colony? I use the roaches as feeders for my T`s, so their health is an even bigger concern for me.
