Ok so proper weird question here but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I brought some dubia roaches as feeders and decided to handle them because curiosity and all that. I held one that was still in a nymph stage (not too young, however) and I wasn't sure what happened but suddenly my hand felt wet and there was literal water all over my hand with the little guy just freaking out. I wasn't sure if it was wee but there was quite a bit and the roach itself didn't seem hurt. Just curious as to what this fluid could possibly be?

Its a defensive mechanism, its not water smell it next time. Many species of roaches excrete a liquid for defense. some are extremely offensive smelling like giant cave roaches/Blaberus giganteus

Rude! I personally think B. giganteus smells like bell pepper when you irritate them. :)
LOL, not to me I had 4-5 adults once given to me, those were definitely not any bell pepper I have smelled. Well maybe rotted bell pepper
