Greetings guys and girls.

I recently found out that I'm tired of buying crickets from the local petstore, and I ordered some roaches insted.
When I got the gang, I saw that I got some big ones and some small ones.
How long will it take before they start breeding?
I ordered only 20 of them cause I was low on cash. So, how fast can they become more? And how many if they start breeding?

I've read some caresheets, but the ones I read didn't help much. If you got some good ones, I would appriciate them.

Second, this is how their enclosure looks atm. I'm keeping them on top of my computer screen so their warm and the temp is about 30+ celcius.
Does the enclosure look ok? What am I missing?

Thanks.

I've kepted my colony between 20 (winter) - 25 (summer) celsius and it took about 10 months for my colony to start reproducing. I started with one week nymphs, so that's partly the reason why it took so long.

fyi... all your answers can be found here (http://www.blaberus.com/)

ive done my own little experiment and i found that if kept in the right conditions every 3-5 weeks an adult female will produce anywhere from 10-20 nymphs. it takes roughly 3-4months for a nymphs to mature.

so...

im going to take a rough guess to say youre going to wait a good year until you have a large established colony

some tips to get them to grow like weeds; cover the enclosure with an old black tshirt so absolutely no light gets inside, only disturb them to replenish water and food, keep their habitat as quiet as possible and ofcourse a good balanced diet

if you have any other questions pm me, ill try to help where i can
