Dog food, cat food, fish food, unmedicated chicken feed are some I've used

I take chicken feed, protein powder (from gnc, all sorts of fruity flavors), dehydrated fruit bigs, crushed dry dog food, and oatmeal, in my "ultimate" dry food mix. Just mix it all up and your good to go. I raised a dubia colony from 200 in size to 2-3000 on nothing but this diet + water crystals.

of course, they always welcome fresh food like carrots, apples, slices of melon... but at the time I didn't even go with any of this "wet" food and they did fine.

My lobsters love bran - when I put a 1" layer on the bottom, it is gone in days. It serves as a temporary substrate and a food item.

so mixed dehydrated fruit is a good addition? Protein powered should be available at health food shops and super markets?

I use bran, porridge oats, dry cat or dog food, fish flakes and fish pond pellets or sticks. Mix it all together into a large storage container ...job done.
The cat and dog food seems to got quickest in the lobster tank and slowest in the disciodes. Bran and fish flakes is the next to go.

I just use dry cat food, don't even bother crushing it up, they love it. Usually whatever I throw in is gone the next morning.

I usually feed, on a daily basis, quality cat food with a protein range of about 39-45%, a fish flake with about 35%, and whatever else I have on hand.
