What was even weirder was that last night I had it on my palm and it drooled a big drop on me like I tasted bad or something. I really do get a kick out of these little buggers. Gotta love em.

What species ya got there? It kinda looks like some kind of Brachypelma but I can't be sure

Thats a G. Aureostriata baby. I think its around 7 months old or so. Its turning into a real lard ass. Among its other lovely traits, it likes to poo on my hand when walking over it. Such love I tell ya!

lol forgot the background on that one. Its Destroyer by C.J. Cherryh (scifi) and part of the Foreigner series. (little off topic but an excellent series to read). Someone saw it at work today and said wow I gotta print that. They have a little baby rosea at home but I think this monster is going to outpace it.

yah I've gotten a couple of off hand comments lately from the usual suspects regarding getting a life (eww you have a tarantula) etc. Usually I tell them to sit and spin but since I really don't have a life to begin with it really doesn't matter. Now if they only made insecticide for people.....

I find it very neat too see a T drinking from the water dish.I have seen a few of mine do this and I just wish we had a good enough digital cam to get some pictures of it.

I think I've seen him drink twice since I got him in December. I live in a uni house and so spend most of my time in the room where my T's are.
