All dragon fly nymphs are strictly predatory and do not eat algae.

They will eat just about any kind of small minnows/fish/insects or bugs. try dropping a small feeder cricket in the water.

it should be kept in warm water. make sure to have a stick or a large rock or something sticking out of the water because when it matures it needs a place to crawl out on and shed it's skin. if it cannot crawl out, it will drown

awsome...i spent forever looking things up...yeah, i bought 2 guppies today. had crickets but my ferrets found them and eat them before i could do anything...should i invest in air pump with air stone....or filter...or both?how warm should the water be...how often do they eat...maybe pitchers of cages would help...i am new with this nymph thing. :p

I don't know if they breathe through the water (although I could be wrong) so an air stone is not necessary. I will have to check on that one...

The an aquarium is best for a cage, but really a tuperware container will work. just line it with a thin layer of gravel and throw some rocks in. don't forget to put something sticking out out of the water so that he can crawl out when he needs to mature

they have gills at the larval stage, so they breathe the oxygen in the water, you should then install a filter to make sure the oxygen is refreshed!;)

(not sure if its a filter that does that, i dont remember hehe)

today i bought a small filter that uses air bubbles to filter...hard to explain...i have the little fella in a 2.5 gallon tank about a third of the way full...and i thought the air bubbles would look kool, but i might not get those. but anyways,it has ate 1 fish and i beleave, posibly two ghost shrimp. should i test the water?
