Dragon parasite spread to humans?

We are taking one of our breeding female bearded dragons to the vet. Our contact at the local store has been very knowlegeable and helpful. Today she said that parasites can be passed very easily from dragons to humans. Does anyone know if this is true? I have not heard it before. Thanks.

There are certainly many zoonotic parasites which can be transmitted from reptiles to humans. That being said, there are a lot more that do not take to mammalian hosts. Knowing exactly what your dragon has is obviously the first step.
