LOL! The female (head lower in the pic) is the mother, but the male is new. He's my wife's Christmas present!

My husband and I were looking at the pics and he pointed out how the females don't have as much a "beard" as the males. Is this true? I know you have already pointed out the female. I'm just curious.
BTW, we are raising a young beardie ourselves and it is always great to see pictures of what he'll look like when he's older. Thanks for the great pics!
I don't know if the size of the beard is different, but the males do generally stick them out a lot more in display! Both of the males we have introduced to our female did this and their beards also went BLACK. Very cool to watch them! Keep in mind that both of these guys in th pics are around 20 inches long, nose to tail!
(Well, maybe 18"...)
Awesome pics. I have a beardie that I got as a baby and it has doubled in size and is such a pig at eating. They are really good pets and they have such personalities.
