First my precious versi dies, and now this......found my 1.5" OBT sling dead a few minutes ago while making my spider rounds. I haven't seen him in a minute, but he was out in the open and didn't run when
1) I grabbed the enclosure....usually a cause to run
2) I opened the lid........which almost always sends him diving for cover
......and .........
3) poked him with feeding tongs......

I have absolutely no idea what happened. He was alive and kicking this morning. His abdomen shows no signs of dessication, and he still had a roach in his enclosure. :wall:

Oh Steve :( *hugs* I'm so sorry hun...

Like everyone has said to me - things happen sometimes, and in this hobby (when there is no clear answer)... it can be especially hard :(

Could there be some type of connection between the two deaths?

Thank you Jairi. Yeah, it's tough trying to figure out how I killed an OBT.... :?

That was my first thought. However, I don't see how there could have been a connection.

Thanks Tommy......yeah, unfortunately this was my only one.....

Any environmental changes? Cleaning products, etc...

Feeding changes?

Anything?
Nothing I can think of. It's perplexing when the easiest and toughest to keep species in my collection die within days of each other.

You don't have anyone that has a grudge against you or your interests? Just curious because after all, someone's relative here threw her whole collection away like garbage.
