Hey everyone, i'm REALLY new to this, i breed frogs and am also very interested in the world of inverts. I was looking into getting some specimens of either the Domino Roach Corydia petriveriana or the Glow-spot Roach Hormetica subcincta. Does anyone have any? Could you post pics of your specimens and their set-ups, also, where does the Domino Roach come from?

Spotted Cockroach/Domino Roach, Therea petiveriana, is from India.

www.blaberus.com has both Therea petiveriana and Lucihormetica subcincta on they're site.

I have kept both species, I dont currently have any of either species though

Cool, thats where i was planning on getting them. How is their breeding? Do they take a long time or do they breed pretty fast? Does the Spotted Roach come out of jungles or more arid regions? And the same question for the Glow-spot roach. Could you post some pics?

Lucihormetica are fairly easy to breed, im not sure on Therea? as my last ones didnt breed, im not sure how long they take, I first noticed tiny nymphs of my Lucihormetica after a few months, Im not sure about they're natural environments? I cant find any info online on it either. I kept my ones fairly humid.

Hi,

i keep my Lucihormetica (or Hormetica?) in big boxes with 15cm substrate ans some corkbark. They love to burrow and sit between those corkbarks. They breed easy but not very fast. I keep them by normal roomtemp. (Winter ~20°C and Summer 26°C - 30°C)

Beware they can climb glas very easy - but they are more ground living species. I can see them every evening on the walls of the Box, but only a few. The most are IN the substrate.

Hope this helps!
