Hi there,

Calcium carbonate is made of calcite and aragonite. The same as cuttlefish bone. Dolomite is also a carbonate mineral but is made of ‘calcium magnesium carbonate’ instead of pure calcium carbonate material. Therefore, dolomite is called a double carbonate rock.

So I assume it is not only safe, but better than the rest. What do you know about this?

I'd say it is not. Dolomite microscopically is like tiny razors. Dolomite is known for its properties in insect control. It works by microscopically cutting lesions in insect bodies. Just google Dolomite as a non-toxic pesticide and you'll answer our own question.
