I have a big momma dock spider in a jar with her nursery web full of spiderlings. I have been spraying some water in the top every few days but not feeding. Its been about a week now.

How long do they stay at this stage? I assume they shed then disperse.

My intention is to release most of the spiderlings after they shed, and raise 5 or so. Momma Ill keep and see if she lays again.

Any other tips would be apprieciated

Congratulations!
You can leave them for one molt but you can also seperate them now. They are able to take food when left the sack...
My D. tritons also left the sack in the mothers terrarium last week. I already seperated them in 5 bigger groups. When they start eateing each other I will give every one an enclosure...

So i can feed them now? Idk if i should since the nursery web is attached to the lid lol.

I see D. tritons commonly in the beaver ponds here, D. tenebrosus though seems to be more around lake shores though as far as i can tell.
