Good afternoon,

As the title suggests, I am searching for the usual information on care, temperament, keeper stories and experiences and general information on this Tarantula and so far I haven’t been able to turn up anything.

Google, YouTube and even here have zero information; but then again please do bear in mind that I am useless at navigating around this site and finding topics that seem relevant to what I’m enquiring about but google and YT are usually pretty loaded.

So if anybody has experience with a Dolichothele exilis, I would gravely appreciate you sharing some information with me. Thank you everybody xxx

If I remember correctly, they (fairly) recently were renamed from Oligoxystre caatinga. You might try looking up care under that name, may give you some results.

About all the help I can provide because I've never kept them.

Keep similalry to D.diamantinensis, maybe slightly more moist...these are a smaller species, pretty fast and likely to be on the skittish side.

They are very similar to D. diamantinensis. They are dwarf NWs that get to about 3". They don't burrow and may not even use a hide, but they web extensively and therefore do well with a setup similar to a GBB, just smaller and with just a tad more moisture.
