They're first discovered in 2009. January, 2009, by Rogério Bertani, Thiago dos Santos and Alexandre Ferreira.

I think this can help a lot about their biology:

They are small T's. if mine juvenile was a male, i think it would be matured. They build a lot of web, but are kinda terrestrial, build a ground parallel web tunnels. I can post a picture of their cage later. They eat a lot, are voracious spiders. They are VERY quickly, thats why i don't risky to handling mine =D .

Thanks, jbm, i will post the pics there too. =] Cheers!

They haven't been sold in the states until just recently. Not sure who else got any, but I have a handful of them.

Hello guys. Im kinda late, but here's what happened:

The big one matured into a big female, and both slings grew up males. But there was an unlucky procces: First, male I mated with her ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3waRvL7F7A ), then i send it to another person. Then, she moulted without posting eggs, later then, when I join the male II to her, SHE KILLED THE MALE within seconds, and ate it.

Now, she's a big old lady, and im looking foward to find a new male to her. Here are some pictures:

She, with the dead male :

And she yesterday (26/07/2014) !!:

Thank you guys!

I can't believe it's a month since I got this little one. It spends a lot of time up near the lid of the tub in the web it has made, in fact I'm thinking of rehoming it to a deeper tub once it has moulted. It eats like a piggy, quite an active little one and up until now seems very unconcerned about disturbances. Currently about 1/2 inch.

I have 0.0.2 D. Diamantinensis and the other one moulted soon after but sadly hasnt been too photo friendly besides some stinker pictures here and there lol.

Hopefully this can show off a bit of this beauty both pre and post moult :D
