woo hoo I am so excited and I blame all of you exclusively! I was perfectly happy collecting adult females and limiting myself to just a few but after encountering the sheer joy you guys have in raising sling I have 3 poecilotheria fasciata arriving wednesday and I cannot wait! thanks to robc for his sling care sheet and videos for making me feel prepared for this new venture in T keeping. any comments, kudos or advise is absolutely welcome!

Congrats, kudos, and be forewarned: once you start raising slings, you will want more once those little Pokies grow up.

Slings are easier to care for than you probably think. The only real time you need to be worried about a sling is from hatch to about the 2" - 3" DLS mark.....which doesn't take too long (less than 6 months for a Pokie). Watch out though, Pokie slings can really motivate when they are spooked!!!!!

Congrats! I think? In a few weeks, you'll have dozens of slings.

It occured to me the other day, that one day all my little slings will be grown up. What then!? lol it's a never ending cycle!

Same thing happend to me the other day... I said to my wife I really want to get a pokie. She says what about all your other 'spiders'. I say, yeah but whats a few more. She says, what are you going to do with them all when they get big... I thought and thought... all I could come up with is get more bigger cages. Logical enough... :wall:
