Hello, picked up this Thai cave huntsman, it’s in a 32oz deli container with a piece of cork bark. Is there any improvements I could make to help benefit the spider? Or am I just thinking it needs “improvement” because it’s plain? IMG_4814.jpeg

Your average Thai cave is rock, filled with rocks, boulders, and abundant darkness. Anything else is purely aesthetics to please the keeper.
However, the common large huntsman here, H Venatoria, often goes by the nickname 'the sewer rat of spiders' with the preferred habitat being just that or garbage and sewage laced canals. Away from modern amenities our Venatoria find the detritus of the forest floor their playground, with a vertical surface to lurk on during daylight hours. In your average home they seem to prefer dark closets or under furniture and only come out at night to hunt on the floors and walls.

I'd recommend looking into a bigger enclosure because from the looks of things that might be a little too small, and then the other comment pretty much has the rest.

I would put a few more pieces of bark here and there to give it more options for hiding / hunting.

Do huntsman need a day/night cycle? I have her in a walk in closet it with the light off, does this impact her at all?
