Does gender have an effect on A. bicolor?

I got my first andro species a year or so ago. I'm thinking about getting a bicolor in addition to start off the summer.

I've seen some peoples pictures of their andro scorps and some have a MASSIVE fat tail on them. My A.a has a fat tail, but its nothing compared to some of the ones i've seen posted here.

So my question is, does gender have any effect on the tail thickness of the Androctonus species? Like would I have a better chance of getting a monster thick tail by getting a female? Or is it just the luck of the draw on genetics?

Thanks!

Finally got my male A. bicolor. Been running around his tank ever since I put him in. Beautiful scorpion.

I'll try and take better pictures later. :D

most pictures are also taken to make the tail look bigger and more impressive :) I do it too, it just makes them look cooler, but as others have said; males tend to have the larger tails. mine look like tanks :p
