I’ve been trying to culture Ceuthophilus sp. for a while now, and haven’t had much luck as far as breeding (likely due to the fact that I keep mixed sizes so there probably aren’t many mature adults). Does anyone have experience keeping these that could provide some info on getting them to reproduce? I’m also not sure what the best thing is to feed them. I’ve been providing fish flakes and carrots but I only ever see them take little nibbles.

I raised them for a couple of years before abandoning them for my easier feeder roaches.
There was an infestation in my shed, so I caught some and bred them very much in the same way as regular domestic gray crickets except in a cooler, darker, more humid environment (my dank basement).
There was an old thread on here that gave me the idea and some information. Here is the link to that old thread:

There they did feed fish flakes. I fed mine dry cat food, apple cores, and leftover vegetable cuttings of various types. They laid their eggs in moist soil that I kept in short deli cups. It's a pain that these suckers can jump so high, but interesting for variety.

I've kept and bred Ceuthophilus agassizii, they are quite cannibalistic and thus survival rates can be low if not fed protein based foods often, (dog food, chick feed, maybe pre-killed insects), and given lots of surface area... But if both those demands are met, they're pretty easy, mine bred well for years. Yours may need a winter diapause if they're from a cold, northern locale.
