Does a dark egg sack mean that the babies are molting?

My jumper has been sitting on her eggs for about 3 weeks now. Lucky for me the egg sack is placed on the glass so I can keep an eye on it.
Over the last few days the sack has becoming a bit grey in some areas. This morning there was even a few dots. I’m guessing it’s the babies who is getting their dark colour? Their mom is a black spider.
It would be nice if someone a little more experienced would take a look at the photo.
I also tried using a flash light to see them, but that didn’t really work.

(Don’t worry. I got deli cups and all that stuff prepared for when they come out. They aren‘t gonna stay in that enclosure).

Those look like babies from what I can tell!

Now would be the time where you baby-proof the enclosure aka cover up all the exits and air holes with thin mesh

Cool I thought that the babies would stay close to the nest for the first few days after they came out, but I will cover up the enclosure now then :)

They do, but it’s possible some brave ones will come out far enough to get into the vents. Better safe then sorry.

Just removed the mesh to shoot this little time-lapse of the brand new babies struggling to get out of the egg sack
