I don't believe the have an olfactory sense or anything. However, I believe they can "taste" stuff through touch and such. Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

Recently I visited a dissertation about the sense organs of spiders held by Dr. Rainer F. Foelix (author of "The biology of spiders") in Austria.
He gave a very interesting lecture mostly about the nervous system and the eyes of different kinds of spiders but he also mixed in lots of information on other subjects than sense organs (such as urticating hairs and how it comes that some T's are blue...).
About the sense of smell:
T's have special feather-shaped hairs equipped with chemo receptors on their pedipalps and their first pair of legs which is used to determine the quality of food and, in males, to determine whether a female is willing to mate.
So, yes, they have a sense of smell.

I do think they have a "sense" of smell, but it is nothing like what ours is. I'm not sure exactly how they sense smell, but it wouldn't be very practical if they couldn't sense smells at all.

There has been some discussion in the past on why some Ts are blue...you have to fill us in...even if its in another thread.

They have no olfactory cavity for smell but they do have organs on their feet for perceiving airborne chemicals and humidity. They also have chemically sensitive hairs (bristles) on some of their legs and pedipalps that kind of act like taste organs.

Exactly, very well said.

They have open-ended hairs that chemically 'taste' the air or substrate.
