Do pothos need soil?

Im in the process of creating a new tank for my p. irminia and am wondering wether pothos plants will do ok in the komodo block substrate i use for my t's or wether ill hav to use some kind of soil and also are there any other smart looking hardy small slow growing plants i can use in my enclosures.

Most Komodo substrate is essentially soil, so yes, pothos should thrive in what I would consider a premium soil provided the roots can uptake nutrients and water. Of course I should tell you I have never used Komodo products and can't be 100% certain with out a link, or picture of the actual product.

Not sure if that answers your question, but as cheap as pothos are, I don't think you have much to lose.
