I live in eastern Nebraska, it gets COLD here in the winter. I have a WC mantis that just laid an egg case. My question is, do I need to stick the tank out in my garage to simulate winter conditions or will they be ok staying inside my 75 degree house all winter. Also I was wondering how long will it take for them to hatch? And since I don't really need a few hundred mantises running around my house, how long should I let them canibalize each other before seperating them and introducing a food source?

If you keep them at room temperature they will hatch out sooner...probably in the dead of winter. So if you have FF to feed them that would be fine...otherwise leaving them in a cold place should delay until late spring.
