I was thinking about getting 3 madigascar hissing cockroaches. I've had 2 praying mantids but one of them died in her forth molt. I was wondering if cockroaches ever could die in their molts? I think I have some problems controlling humidity levels. Do cockroaches show more, less or about the same sensitivity to humidity versus mantids??

I don't think they are as sensitive to humidity as mantids, but roaches can die during molts if the humidity level is wrong. I actually have a small colony of hissers(i would personally get more, start a colony, it's fun:), but i have never had any die from a molt gone bad. Just remember to mist them daily:)

they only need a small amount of humidity.
but yes they will get stuck in their molt and die or not completely molt all the way and die if humidity is too low. mist every once and a while and they should be fine.
