Do all spiderlings look somewhat the same?

not finding my answer thru googling.... Just wondering cause I assumed our baby was a rose hair but seeing pics of other babies, well it looks the same... We acquired it at a show (a reptile show at that) they didn't know what kind it was. Now I see that they were idiots and should not just be handing out baby tarantulas to just any kid walking by.

Not all spiderlings look the same, but a lot of them will look very similar as slings, especially if they belong to the same genus.

most spiderlings don't look exactly the same but in different species, anatomy is different

There's going to be some similarities in some babies of the same genus, i.e. an Aphonopelma hentzi sling isn't going to look much different from an A. chalcodes sling or an A. burica sling.

When you compare genus to genus, there's very obvious differences. Avicularia looks nothing like Psalmopoeus looks nothing like Acanthoscurria looks nothing like Poecilotheria. But an Acanthoscurria geniculata sling can resemble a Nhandu chromatus sling and a G. Pulchripes sling.

That baby rose hair to the naked untrained eye is going to look like a ton of different things, definitely. As it grows it will start showing characteristics of what it will look like when it's older. I've always thought buying non-ID'd slings would be fun to do. It's a nice surprise when it grows into something you didn't expect!
The downside is you can't necessarily care for it 100% the way you should if you don't know what it is. General sling care consists of high humidity and lots of food. Keep it warm and watch it grow! It should molt pretty frequently depending on what it is, at least for a little while. My small G rosea is under and inch and hasn't molted in about two months!
