Okay let me amend this: The beetle found is a water scavenger beetle. What is the feeding frequency of that? :) I've read they'll eat dead matter and and detritis. Sometimes even taking down a small fish. Is this correct?

water scavenger beetles are awesome:clap: they are mainly veggie eaters, you can feed them romain lettuce, all kinds of water plants, ive kept them, they do great in an aquarium, but they are not as aggressive as the dytiscus diving beetles which are carnivores(piranhas w/legs{D )

Thanks! Right now I have a little bit of duckweed growing in the tank. I'll be adding some fresh veggies as well.
