Hey, I live in South Florida - home of whatever is let go and rapidly reproduces to no end - and I was curious as to if Discoids would take over my house if a few happened to escape. Crickets smell and piss me off when they jump everywhere while I'm trying to get them out of a T enclosure after the T didn't eat, and breeding them isn't exactly quick. So I'm looking at starting a Discoid colony since they are one species that is already established in Florida, but I'm a little hesitant because I do live in South Florida and pretty much anything can thrive here if given the chance. Thanks!

Nope, they won't infest. And if by some act of God they did infest, you'd be a very rich man with all those feeders to sell. ;)

There is also another species of Blaberus that is similar to discoidalis that is also established in Florida. They're a little prettier (in my opinion) since they're more variable. Most likely, they're Blaberus atropos.

I agree with the rich part, but I doubt whoever would want to buy the house would believe me when I say how much they are gaining with all the roaches running around. My girlfriend likes to feed and handle the T's, but I'm sure roaches crawling on her would piss her off and then I'd have to face hell. Anyway, I looked at your link of roaches, and I'm pretty set on the Discoids, but you don't currently have any for sale. Thanks for the information though!
