Dilatata poop flick!

I was just watching my H. Dilatata drink standing water, I found the movement of all the mouthparts facinating. Then, she started pooping. Just as the poop was almost out she gave her whole abdomen a sharp flick and flung the poop about 3 inches into the air, what a great animal.

There is a species of catterpillar that can shoot it's poo over 2 feet. Helps it avoid parasitic moths that track it using fecal odor.
