So guys i had a funnel spider. Similar to the sydney funnel spider but it is in turkey. İt is actually related to the sydney one too. Wè found it while molting and captured it. İts been almost like 2 months and still didnt finish its molting. İt was moving sometimes the first days we got it. But it doesn't now.
İs it dead? İ dont know how much it takes them to molt, i couldn't find it on internet. My wolf spider molted in just 1 night. Please tell me how long do sydney funnel webs stay in molting.
By the way, came back to my home by 2 plane transportation. Maybe it died because of Vibration?
Found the species. Segestria florentina it is.
Anyone have information about them?

Oh dear

Segestria florentina in my experience take a couple of hours to moult any disturbances in this process will likely kill them

Sorry for your loss

Yep, almost 100% sure it has died. Molting only takes at most a few hiurs for a smaller true spider. When they molt, they are extremely fragile. Any even soft movements while molting can easily kill a spider. This is just some extra info. Usually, spiders have a hard exoskeleton that protects them from moving. But, while molting, their new exoskeleton is soft and squishy. On top of that, if a spider is bothering during a molt, it can get "stuck" and harden inside its old skin, killing it. Super sorry it died. In the future, if you see one molting, maybe wait for it to be done and be careful moving it afterward. It is a very sensitive process for them.
