Did I kill my jumper ?

He had made a web and was in it for at least 2 weeks. I thought that he was dead so I proceeded to snip out the web when lo and behold he started crawling on y hand.
Well, I threw him back into the cage, apologized, fed him a cricket and made it over here to see wassup.
So, was he molting for longer than normal and can he recover ?

He may have been preparing to molt, but it can remake a web if it needs to. If it ate though it may not have been directly preparing to molt. What I will say though is often new folks stress about webbing getting destroyed and in reality its nothing to generally worry about they have evolved to web.
