Did I get slightly scammed or not?

Hello everyone, so I got my C versi a few days ago sold as “around” 3 inch female. I bet it was just estimated through eye but here it is, (I still love it though)

So, did I get slightly scammed, or was his estimate slightly off? It’s not a huge deal anyway. But, from here, how long should it take till it gets adult colors?

P.S, I measured it slightly spread but not all way, around 2 inches

As long as the species is right a younger T just means you get more time with it, not much of a scam to me. Also hard to tell anything from your pics honestly.

You were scammed if it’s not female- they always cost more

Colors come in gradually for versi. Color change first starts on abdomen, IME. Mine went from blue, to a small dorsal region being yellow/green on a abdomen

At about 3-3.5”, females can be sexed ventrally by looking for a white dot above just above their vent.

If it’s end up female no. If male yes.
getting a small one is even better it might live a tiny bit longer. Probably not enough to make a difference though. Enjoy 😉!! Your new blue pet I miss mine lost to a wet molt.

T's are never what they say dls wise , like fishermen they like to exaggerate... I caught a fish tttthhhhhhiiiiiiiis big , its the same with dls from sellers, I have this spood n its tttthhhhhiiiiissssss big 😆. I always expect any t I get to be half the size they say. Even slings.
But not scammed just exaggerated too 😆.
Gl with your little lady another year or so n she will be a gorgeous big girl 😉 n any questions you know where we are 😊.

Even with the sizing being off, I wouldn’t call this a scam. If it turns out to be a male, then yes, but she could also have just been a cheap female. From the pictures you’ve posted, no matter what it turns out to be, you’ve got a gorgeous little baby! Just do a lot of molt soaks, because tarantulas can trick you. My P. Cambridgei ended up being a female after I spent a year thinking she was a boy, so beware of their pranks!

There's no way we can tell if you got scammed, which I highly doubt you did.

We have no clue what you paid nor can we tell the actual size of it from those photos.

In time you'll know for sure if it's female or not which @viper69 already stated/helped you with.

Do not list publically the name of the seller. You can write in a pm to a member but not publically. Even if it arrived D.O.A. or died in a day that doesn't mean you got scammed. Always read the T.O.S. on gaurentees. A reputable seller will offer free replacement or refund but not refund on shipping. If a replacement will be shipped out then you still need to cover that expense.

Even if you find out it's male you need to contact the seller. A good seller will work with you a bad one will ignore you. Keep it professional do not write or say ignorant things out of anger to the seller if it turns out male.

Hello everyone and thank you for the responses- I have made with the fact and I’m happy that I’ll spend more time with it.

but I have breaking news- 6 days after getting it (her) she’s in molt position. Looks a little cramped in there but I should just leave her be correct? Let her do her thing just like with my other ts. The water dish albeit on other side of enclosure is full and I can spritz a water droplet on the web if she is done Molting and won’t leave (not misting or humidifing)
Just a little guidance needed as I’m slightly nervous since it’s my first arboreal t

I have a bad photo but I haven't been able to take a photo of it outstretched.

Today she exited her hammock after molt but is huddled up next to a plant on ground, extreme stress position. I thought she was in death curl! I don't mist or anything, but I have a water dish which is larger than I thought, (3.5 inches diameter), and I can replace it with a smaller one proper for the t, and move it closer (She hasn't been to the water dish yet ). I'm slightly nervous but I'm guessing she needs time.
