Feed regularly in small portions until there's a project or numbers are high and source your material carefully. Freeze or otherwise treat/heat/dehydrate food sources. Styrofoam or wood blocks for them the pupate. Replace bedding when you can or whenever things get damp. Whatever container you use, make sure it's just as capable of keeping yours in as wild ones out, because they're real good at finding what they eat and wild boys carry the enemy.

How to water them?

Carefully. Do not keep anything wet in there for long periods. A small dish of water crystals once a week will cut it. Just enough that they can finish. Clean the dish every time.
