Hello
Yesterday i had to open one sac of my Deinopis aspectans. Since there isn't much about this sp. tbf online, i might post some further progress.
I managed to raise a few slings (for juvenile expirience) and got myself two adult females. One laid two egg sacs and passed. She covered them with some moss on the floor and hung the second one, also covered, in a plant.
I picked the first egg sac and secured it in a safe enviroment on vermiculute fairly humid with added moss.
After 5 Weeks i opened the sac to check If it is fertile. Clearly visible, legs developed. Lucky me.
The next day they broke the shell and some leg movement was seen. Lovely. We're at EWL already!
Diameter 8mm!
I raised my slings from I3 pretty dry! What i also noticed is, that they can be very delicate eaters, struggeling with the positioning during the first few molt. Looking forward to come up with an idea to fix this. What i can tell, if no food passes by, they reposition themselves until they get the right place and from then on, they keep their hunting spot. Ventilation is also very inportant!
If anyone has an idea or recommendation to seperate them at early stages, feel free.
Maybe i go with the full top Ventilation adding wood wool to create enough small gaps to close the distance between food and the reach of their legs. Small groups.
Temperature wise i keep them around 24°C, noticing quite fast growth!
Regards, will be updated. Hope this is some knowledge worth sharing.
