woah like a mix between a mouse and a squirrel

cool little guys:D

i know what you mean by the noise being unnerving i have a bunch of rats and a macaw in my room
when they get noisy i put on a small fan just to block out the noise a little

I keep a colony at the museum, they are very active little buggers that LOVE to chew. I put large diameter branches in their enclosure just about every 2 weeks to keep up with their chewing although eventually they still turn to doing it on stuff they shouldn't. I had to have our exhibits department replace a metal ledge in their enclosure because they chewed the allow shelf right down...metal is like warm butter, they go right through!

One thing you should know about these guys is that they do not tolerate sugar in any small amount, they are natural diabetics. What this means is that if you give them fruit or any other sweet snacks it could easily kill them so be careful!
