Defense odor

Has anyone who uses discoids as feeder notice if they have a defense odor Ive been checking the net for info and it says they, dont but i feed an adult male discoid to my S. polymorpha today and it deffinetly released a strong odor when It was attacked by the pede. When i fed an adult discoid to my P. regalis before, I smelled no odor at all
