It was a good experience. No running, biting, or threat displays. She was very calm throughout the entire process. Here's some pics.

This one you can really get a good look at the coloration on her feet. I love it.

Taken the same day she molted.

Congrats. I remember handling my first OBT, it was about a year and a half ago. Great experience, and really a rush when they take fast bolts up and down your hands and arms.

 Wow is right. Very cool pics and what courage. Glad to see it can be done. Guess anything's possible if you're gentle enough with them. Not that I'm going to run out and try it right now...
She's beautiful too!

And to think such a beautiful tarantula sells for so little. Can't wait for my slings to get a bit bigger.

Yowzers!!!

I have 17 OBT's and would never even think of attempting that!!! The funny thing with them is that they ALL seem to have very unique personalities... some are calm and act very docile and others are just pissed off and skittish all the time! It's real funny to watch... kinda like Arnold and Danny in the movie "Twins"! Lol! Anyway... my main concern is just the potency of their venom and I wouldn't want to risk a bite. But I gotta say, you are BRAVE AS HELL because with the size of the one you were holding... one juiced up bite would've left a good hurtin on ya! Kudos my friend!

I would never get an OBT because I just don't have room in my life for something that mean. But I must admit that the picture of the amazing colors under their feet made me think about it for a second. Very pretty.

Aww, she is so unbelievably pretty! What a beauty! You might have one of the "rare" docile OBTs. The fourth picture in which she has her legs tucked up is adorable :D Great pictures!

She is beautiful and you've really got some guts there. I know I'll never hold my OBT... or any of the two I'm getting tomorrow as "freebies". I'd rather be safe than sorry.

You can actually get some for very cheap... slings go for less than $5.00 often and adults... well, I've seen them for as low as "freebie" and as high as $40.00.

If you get one, just handle with care. They aren't called "Orange Bitey Thingy" for nothing.

Yup, I know there's at least one person selling at $2/per (5 minimum though) and a monthish back I bought mine at $1/per. Plus shipping of course.
