They don't eat it. A dude burns a hole in their skin with a hot stick, and then drips venom in the wound. Super fun. And it sounds like the easy answer is "because they got high". It has a couple opioids in there, along with a whole bunch of other stuff. Also causes sped up heart rhythm, possibly hallucinations, always plenty of vomiting and apparently occasional deaths. And it also sounds like they're intentionally marketing to addicts.

Very sad that this woman died. Who would want to burn a hole in their skin and drip a foreign substance into it? Just seems very dark.

There's toads in AZ you can milk the venom glands on their backs , the venom is known to have psychoactive properties to it. It's like MDMT or something. Allegedly

But I'd imagine someone would want frog venom for similar reasons lol
