Hi!

I realize that glue topics have been up before and also that this thread is a longshot but I feel lucky (more or less) so here is my question:

Has anybody used "Humbrol - Precision Poly Cement" inside a container/tank/ whatever and seen or not seen any ill effects on a sling/juvi T?

I'm trying to build a tiny avic tank that's large enough to house the T until mid juvi stage and it would be an absolutly killing fight to glue it together with anythinig but that kind of glue. If I have to I will use my hot glue gun, but I'll be swetting and cursing a lot more than I'd really like to. So if there is a green light in regard to that kind of glue I mentioned above, I'd be very happily using that instead!

Thanks!
Cirith

Please somebody delete this thread. I'm sorry, but I guess I was too quick posting my question - the glue doesn't even work on plexi so I don't have to figure this one out.

Thanks

It should be perfectly okay. Polystyrene is basically what styrofoam and some plastic containers is made of. Just give it a few days to cure and more importantly to give a chance for any fumes from the organic solvents to completely dissipate. It should be fine then.

Though I would not it use it in an enclosure with a T in it already in it, I'm not sure what the fumes from the solvents would do to a T but better safe than sorry.

Great so my well thought out reply was a waste, sigh.

For plexiglass the only thing I've had work are silicone/acrylic adhesive (unfortunately it has a long set time) or screw the pieces of plexi to square wood moulding in the corners
