I currently have 5 T's in my room and took the liberty of photographing them. My Greenbottle Blue has recently molted and will post pictures of that whenever I decide to get around to it.

Here are the links to the photos I have hosted:

Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens:

Haplopelma lividum:

Theraphosa blondi:

Ephebopus murnius:

Avicularia avicularia:

The only spider I have sexed is the Chrom. cyan., and it is female... Hoping for some good molts to sex the others.

how big is your GBB? Mine is about 1.5 inches, i can see hints of color but, its very dark right now. At what size do we start seeing the bright colors of these guys?

My GBB is about 4.5 inches now (she just molted). Of course, that's just an eyeball glance... I will most definitely get out a measuring tape and see if I can't get a more accurate account of this T's size.

I went out and picked up a few more T's to pretty up my room, and here they are in no particular order:

H. lividum (female, mature):

2 A. avicularia (female, mature):

A. avicularia (male, and really wants to mate with one of the females. I took this picture right after he scared them away... He's not very good with girls):

Well, I decided to measure all the T's that I have as of today, and here is what they are measuring in at:

P. regalis (not sure on species) 5.5"
A. avic (two females) 4"
A. avic (known male) 5"
A. avic (unsexed) 3"
H. lividum (female) 5"
H. lividum (unsexed) 4"
E. murnius (sling) 1"
T. blondi (unsexed) 7"
C. cyaneopubescens (female) 5"

Funny little thing happened as I measured one of the female avics. I set her down on the desk right in front of the aquarium. She walked across the ruler, giving me a good idea of how big she is, then she turned and went straight up the aquarium and right back into it, allowing me to close it securely. How very considerate of her.

i wasnt refering only to the his GBB.....
Which one of my T's were you refering too? I do pour water in the subrate twice weekly (or thereabouts), and this is moisture plus stuff I get at a store (the substrate holds in moisture). If you think one of my T's dirt isn't moist enough, do tell me, and I will keep a closer eye on it.

Sorry if they seem blurry. I do the best with the camera that I have. I'm not really into photography, but I do have a cousin that's into it. Perhaps I could have him visit and give me some pointers. Anyways, here's a picture of my T. blondi munching on a mouse. That mouse gave him so much trouble. He looks so proud of himself that he caught it.

Now this is where I meant to post my pictures of my G. rosea and Cameroon Red sling (again, don't know species name so if you know, please tell me).

G. rosea: (Named 'Kirjath-arba' which is an ancient town of the Bible)

Is the GBB's cage the long one, second shelf up from the bottom??? That looks AMAZING!!! I knew that they were big webbers, but I have never seen what they could do on a larger scale. If it isn't the GBB's, whose is it?

Oh, that is the GBB's cage. Before I cleaned it (clean cages about once every six months) the entire place in there was all webbed up. Here's a picture of what she has done thus so far (don't think she'll do too much more).

http://img195.imageshack.us/my.php?image=swebbing7rk.jpg

Now, the webbing she did on the bottom right was for her molting. Before that it was just all on the left side. But who knows, she could web it up some more in there!

That is really neat! I've only ever seen their 'sculptures' on a petri dish size scale, and that was impressive enough. Very nice pictures all in all.

Just thought this looked funny, seeing my H. lividum up in a 'tree' (little plastic jungle tree I gave him). He's been hovering around that thing ever since I introduced it into his environment. Loves that thing a lot!

(I'm also testing out this 'optimizing' option that I get from the website that hosts all of my photos that I put on the inter-web. Tell me if you guys like it better, and I will use it from now on.)

Picked up this 'Stripe Knee' tarantula earlier today at a reptile store. Does anyone know the genus and species of this guy? I'm going to do some searching myself, but if anyone knows it, feel free to share.

Sorry if the picture is not of extremely high quality, I do the best I can with what I have. However, if a different angle is needed or a different pose, do tell me and I will get that up if it will aide in identifying it. Or if you just want to see it at a different angle and/or different pose just to see it better, ask and it will be given unto you.
