Hi

Try and get a copy of Revision of the genus Damon C. L. Kock, 1850 (Chelicerata: Amblypygi: Phrynichidae). Peter Weygoldt Zoologica 1999.

He seems to be the main man when it comes to whip spiders and a nice bloke, his book is also a good read.

Any way he states that…
Damon Diadema is distinguished from D. variegatus by its two spines ventrally on the pedipalp trochanter……. It is further distinguished from all species of the D. variegatus group by its spectacular size and the elongated and strong pedipalps of the males.

the palps look bigger on diadema, i also think they look more patterned on the body (but thats just my opinion)
i dont understand what the poll is for - are you trying to decide which to get?
