Crushed up egg shells as calcium in substrate?

ive crushed egg shells into a fine powder, can i add this to my enclosures? will it benefit my inverts live milipedes and isopods? thanks, should i mix it in with substrate? thanks.

yes I have added crushed up egg shells for calcium with isopods before!

Weird thread. Egg shells: Calcium Carbonate, CaCO3 + trace amounts of phosphorous, magnesium and a few other minerals. Excellent dietary source for calcium but mostly unassimilable unless the animal has a slightly acidic digestive system. (Just meanders on through and out the other end)
