I have some house plants that attract spider mites. I haven’t had any yet but was feeding my mealworms and Dubai’s and saw some mites in their enclosures. Is it possible to infect my plants with those or do they feed on grains and decaying matter? Thanks

The primary problematic mites are red spider mites, Tetranychus urticae, are highly detrimental to many kinds of plants, sucking the sap. Infected plants become unthrifty and can literally bleed to death. These plant detrimental mites are attracted to light and tend to clump together. Soaps that are plant tolerant sprayed on the entire plant repeatedly will eliminate them but they reproduce extremely fast so repeated spraying every day, often for weeks is required to eliminate them.
Don't get suckered by fancy sales pitches of various often expensive methods to remove them.

Edit: Added the obvious.
