I bought an enclosure from a LPS recently that was customized by a guy that works there. The store and employee in question are trusted, mind you. Anyways, he used Great Stuff to make a background, and the crickets are eating it. There are little spaces they can squeeze through and I guess they are just hungry.....

My concern is what effect it might have if they get eaten. Surely it can't be good for a frog to eat a cricket fed on foam insulation..... :(

I have 3 White's Tree Frogs in the enclosure. They are all sub-adult, and very healthy. They have been in the new enclosure for a few weeks now. It appears that only a tiny bit has been eaten. Thats all I can see, anyways. I'm taking the crickets out before the frogs wake up so they don't get eaten, but in case I miss one, or just for in the future, I'd like to know it won't hurt them.

Any thoughts?

i dont know if its bad for the frogs, but i think it is bad. i would try putting a small dish in the cage, with a potato or apple slice whenever you feed your frogs, and then remove it when it looks like its goind bad.

it might deter the crickets from eating the insulation.
