Hello, I own about 100 small crickets in a faunarium, and the biggest one, which seemed giant next to the others, has turned from black to white this morning. I thought maybe it was just molt but there are also white liquid sacks on its back and white stuff that doesn't look like old skin. The cricket looks wounded, very weak, so maybe parasites ? Sorry for the poor quality but here is a photo i took of it:

It's a male.
Do you know what is happening to him ?

My guess would be, it’s a matured male, and it’s drying it’s wings.

In the ultimate molt, the wings emerge as wrinkled sacs of tissue which the insect must pump fluid through in order to straighten out. This would explain the pale coloration and weakened state as well, they’re at their most vulnerable at this stage.
